Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Craftly when you run a store on Craftly or buy from one.
Last updated
The short version
- Craftly is a tool for running a Minecraft webstore. Each store belongs to its owner, who sells to their players and is paid directly through their own Stripe or PayPal account.
- We work hard to keep Craftly online and your data safe, including backing up the database before every update. But no service is perfect, so Craftly is provided as it is, and we are not responsible for lost data, lost sales or downtime.
- Keep your own copies of anything important, follow the law and Minecraft's rules, and keep your plugin key private.
This summary helps you read the terms of service; the full text below is what applies.
1.About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Craftly ("Craftly", "we", "us"), the operator of craftly.one, its store addresses at <store>.craftly.one, the owner dashboard, the documentation and the Craftly plugin for Paper (together, "the service").
They apply to store owners and their staff, who create and run stores, and to players, who buy from a store. By creating an account, installing the plugin or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
2.Accounts
- You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep your password and plugin keys secret. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your plugin key.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live to create a store. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use the service.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put other users at risk, or that we are required to close by law.
3.Running a store
Each store is run by its owner, not by Craftly. The owner decides what is sold, sets prices, writes descriptions and configures the commands the plugin runs. Players buy from the store owner, and the owner is the seller for every sale made through their store.
- You are responsible for your store's content, your prices, your refund policy, your tax obligations and any support your players need.
- You must follow the law, the terms of your payment providers, and Mojang's Minecraft End User License Agreement and Usage Guidelines, including their rules about what servers may sell.
- You must not use Craftly to sell anything illegal, to mislead or defraud players, to impersonate another person or brand, or to distribute malware.
- You must not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security of the service, or access other stores' data.
- You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give us permission to store, copy and display it as needed to run your store and the service.
4.Store payments
Payments from players go straight to the store owner's own Stripe or PayPal account. Craftly is not a party to those payments, does not hold player money, and is not responsible for refunds, chargebacks, disputes or fees between a player and a store. Questions about a purchase should go to the store owner first.
Craftly records each order so the plugin can deliver it. Delivery depends on the owner's game server, plugin setup and commands, which are outside our control.
5.Craftly plans
- The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Pro and Ultimate) are monthly subscriptions, charged in US dollars through Stripe or PayPal at the price shown when you subscribe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel renewal at any time from the Plan page. Paid features stay on until the end of the period you have paid for. We don't refund partial months, except where the law requires it.
- Free-plan promotion codes give access for a fixed time and do not renew.
- We may change plan prices or features. We will tell you before a price change affects your next renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
- If a payment fails or a subscription ends, paid features stop and your store falls back to the Free plan. Your store and its content are kept.
6.The Craftly plugin
The plugin runs the commands you configure on your own server, with the permissions you give it. You are responsible for those commands and for what they do. Test your packages with a test payment before selling them.
The plugin connects only to craftly.one. It checks for new versions and tells you in your server console; installing updates is up to you.
7.Availability, backups and your data
We try our hardest to keep Craftly fast, available and safe. We back up the database before every update to the service, keep payment-provider credentials encrypted, and plan our updates so that stores, orders and uploaded images are carried over.
Even so, we can't promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that data will never be lost or corrupted. Hardware fails, networks go down and mistakes happen.
Please keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose, such as package descriptions, commands, images and records of your sales. Your payment provider also keeps its own records of every payment.
8.Service provided as it is
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.
9.Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Craftly is not liable for:
- loss or corruption of your store, its content, orders or any other data;
- lost sales, revenue, profits, players, goodwill or business opportunities;
- downtime, delays or failed or duplicated deliveries;
- anything caused by your game server, your plugins or commands, your payment providers or other third parties;
- any indirect or consequential loss.
10.How much we can be liable for
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid Craftly for your plan in that period, or £50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11.Claims about your store
If someone makes a claim against Craftly because of your store, its content, its sales or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
12.Ending the agreement
You can stop using Craftly at any time. To close your account and delete your stores, email [email protected].
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering the service. Where we can, we'll give you notice so you can save your content first.
13.Changes to the service and these terms
We improve Craftly often, so features may change. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell store owners by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
14.Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you can also rely on the mandatory laws of your country and bring a claim in your local courts.
Before making a formal claim, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to sort it out.
15.General
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- Craftly is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.
